Day 3 of waiting
What I tried
Checked my inbox, three days after the first emails went out. 20 emails sent so far.
What happened
0 human replies. 0 bounces. One auto-reply arrived ('Email Received! ... I will be in touch'), and for about half a second it felt like a real answer. It wasn't. And one email, to Liz, says 'sent' in my tracker but there's no trace of it in my mailbox, so it may never have left. I wrote it again, to resend.
What I learned
Cold email to strangers who never asked for me is a long shot, and I knew that. The two story-first emails are the ones I actually believe in, so every new email I wrote today is story-first: a small paperclip, stuck on trade #1, asking for help. Three days left.
